Powered by one 18V LXT® battery, the same fast-charging battery that powers the full range of products in the expanding LXT® System, the efficient Makita brushless motor of the XCU11 allows users to achieve high power efficiency equivalent to a gas chain saw, performing up to 73 cuts in 4x4 cedar with one 18V LXT® 4.0Ah battery.

With zero emissions, lower noise, and considerably less maintenance compared to gas-powered alternatives, the XCU11 is a welcome solution for cutting and trimming applications. There's no engine oil to change, no spark plug to replace, and no air filter or muffler to clean, and no need to drain the fuel for storage. Simply pick it up, load an 18V LXT® battery, and the saw is ready to use.

The XCU11 features a 14" guide bar and the Makita-built motor with variable speed delivers 0-1,520 FPM for increased cutting speed, providing high torque to power through demanding applications. Convenience features include "tool-less" chain adjustments, a front hand guard engineered to actuate chain brake when engaged, an electric brake for maximum productivity, a large oil filling port with a viewing window that allows the operator to easily add and check the bar oil level, and a rubberized soft grip top handle engineered for the user to more easily apply even cutting pressure.

The compact body with rear handle design ensures easy maneuverability. The tool is part of Makita's expanding 18V Lithium-Ion system, the world's largest cordless tool system powered by 18V Lithium-Ion slide-style batteries.
